Even our most loved brands screw us over, drop the ball and let us down. Reports have been seeping out this week about the 3G iPhone’s less than perfect internet speeds. The Sydney Morning Herald cites a test by Tom Piotrowski of Unixpac which found that on the Optus 3G network with “average download speeds [of] up to 1.5Mbps, the maximum Piotrowski has achieved using the iNetwork Test iPhone application is 360Kbps, or less than a quarter of the claimed maximum speed”.
